Ames Glover was five months old when he was kidnapped from the back of a car in Southall. Glover’s father went to pick up takeaway and when he returned to the car Glover was gone. Despite significant efforts, involving trips to Ghana, a £10,000 reward, and an initial investigation where police interviewed more than 2,000 people, thirty years later Glover still has not been found. The case was reopened in 2002, after a tip off led police to believe Glover might be in Ghana to where police traveled and conducted tests on two people suspected of kidnapping the child but the results came back negative and the case has made little progress since then.
