Shaune disappeared in June 2017 after being seen at Shurland Dale Holiday Park, Eastchurch, on 17 May. He lived in Eltham but visited Sheppey regularly. The Metropolitan Police had unconfirmed intelligence that Shaune had relocated to the South West of England, however Shaune’s sister, Suzie Maltwood, doesn’t believe that her brother would have moved without speaking to his family. Shaune had a close relationship with his children and spoke with them every day prior to his disappearance. Suzie said: “We don’t believe Shaune had the mental ability to cope with life totally on his own away from family, friends and home comforts. If Shaune was safe and well he would [have] been in contact.” For this reason, Suzie believes that Shaune may not be alive. Shaune has a tattoo of red flowers on both of his hands, along with the names: Macy, Billie, Sarah, and Shaune.
